Description

Originally founded in Puligny-Montrac

This small Burgundy wine House, under the guidance of young new winemaker Marinette Garnier, has been revitalizing the Jaffelin wines in their outstanding ‘Caves du Chapitre’. The winery, located in the historical centre of Beaune, has been totally restored and refurbished with the best equipment.

Jaffelin is one of the rare houses that still make their wines in the historical heart of Beaune. Full bunches of grapes are taken to the winery in small boxes before a careful manual selection (using a 3-metres long sorting table), then conveyed to a de-stemmer and an elevator belt.

St Veran is located in the southern half of Burgundy. The slightly warmer climate really shows through in this superb white, adding more body and weight with intense, ripe fruits yet still with the tell-tale Burgundian mineral edge

For us Maison Jaffelin has thrown a breath of fresh air into the Burgundy mix……the smallest of the great Burgundy Houses still making their wines in the historical heart of Beaune, combined with a young dynamic winemaker Marinette Garnier who holds amazing experience in the region and substantial investment in some of the top winemaking equipment all lead to top quality, handmade cuvées that offer true value for the pricing level

het, Chartron et Trebuchet has built a reputation for quality white wines.
